10th and 11th Days - Jackson to Boise to home!

We made it home! But one last stop in Idaho was Craters of the Moon National Monument. It is made up of lava that surfaced and cooled. Quite fascinating, but pretty much the ugly duckling of National Monuments. Nothing about it was attractive. Maybe we had just been spoiled.

These little pink flowers were growing everywhere in the hard, dry surface. They were trying to dress the whole place up a little.

Well that's pretty much the best of Idaho. We are glad to be home now...but not looking forward to the piles of laundry that await us. :)

Yes, I agree. It would be neat if you could continue your blog. It is so fun to get updated pictures and to hear what is going on with the Hillsboro family.

Your vacation pictures were wonderful.
Sure enjoyed them. I guess it is kinda mixed feeling to be back home. Especailly when you planned
for this trip for so long.

Looking forward to seeing Kel and the girls soon, Love, Meemom

What a great way to take along on your beautiful trip a grandpa who was sitting on his duff at home. I bet you didn't notice I was sitting next to you all as you traveled down the road.

I agree with Robyn:

"Will you be keeping up with the blog at home:) :) :) :) :) :) :) pretty please?"

You need to wear out that new camera taking pictures.

Love you so very much,
Grandpa
