Introducing...
Sharaya!
(sha-RAY-a)
She is an 8wk old german shepherd... and she is a sweetie!
We picked her up yesterday from TeMar Shepherd in Canby, OR. They breed them and show them and train them to do the obstacle courses called Schutzhund. They invited us to come to a show sometime as it's open to everybody, so we might just do that!
The green stuff on her right ear is tattoo ink. They "tattooed" her ear yesterday and then put this thick green clay-like ink on it to absorb into the tattoo. It gets everywhere. It dries but when it gets wet it's gooey again. They say it will take one or two weeks for it all to wear off (except for in the tattoo...that supposed to be there forever!) It's a number and letters indicating who she is by her records if she is ever lost or stolen.
Sharay has a sweet and mild temperament. The first day and night, she whined quite a bit. They call that separation anxiety. Poor thing. She misses her brothers and sisters.
But today, she has played a lot and gone with us to Petsmart to pick out some new toys.
She was fascinated with the fountain we have on our front patio. It has goldfish in them that she thought would make a tasty treat...
More pictures to come soon!

Wow! She is adorable!!! We can't wait to see her in person! Thanks so much for posting the photos . . . do keep them coming!
So glad that she has a mild temperament. The whining is very normal and will probably go away in a week or so:)
I saw something that looked like a little yellow rolled up leaf or flower in the photo by the fountain and it just made me think about any plants you might have around that could be poisonous since they put everything in their mouth! You probably already know about rhododendrons? I've also heard hydrangeas can be bad too. Not sure what else could be. Just thought I'd mention it, as we had some friends' dogs die from rhododendrons:(
We can't wait to hear more about her. I bet you all are having soooo much fun with her!
Lots of love,
Robyn for all of us
Hi Aunt Kelly and everyone!
What a CUTE pup!
I can't wait to see Sheraha! Those are great pictures of her! (I know how hard it can be to take pictures of puppies sometimes!) We all LOVE German Shepherd puppies! They are definitely one of the cutest breeds!
I can't wait to see you also! I love you soooooooooo much!

Love you more than all the puppies in the world.

You know I am not a great animal lover, but you are trying to change my mind!!! I know that is your intention because you sent pictures of a very adorable puppy that no one, not even me, could resist. Now that is not fair. I am too old to start loving dogs!!! Just kiddin'
She is a very adorable puppy and I can see why you are already very attached to her. She even looks like she has a very nice temperament. Hope Kiara and Winston can adjust without too much trouble. I know you will all enjoy her so much and I love her name. Thanks for sharing.. Love you all so much, Meemom
