2nd Day - Spokane through Idaho to Columbia Falls Montana

Today's drive was about four and a half hours long. We are staying very near to Glacier National Park...which is BEAUTIFUL! We decided that the top part of Idaho isn't very impressive. Not sure why anyone would want to live in that part of the state, nor Spokane for that matter.

Glacier National Park has mountains that are over 10,000' high and lots of beautiful, huge lakes and rivers. Not too far north from where we are is the Canadian border.

The weather is just right too here. Mid 70's I would say. We ate lunch at another Subway...pretty much had my fill of Subway now. But this one was really neat looking on the outside. You can really tell it's a Montana-Subway.

~ Two Cowgirls ~

Tomorrow, we are leaving pretty early to head towards Billings, MT. On the way, not too far from here, we are stopping to see a friend of Chuck's, Jackie. She and her mother have a cabin in Big Fork and we have been invited to stop in to say hi.

p.s...Chuck's new hobby is washing bug splatters off the windshield. He likes it so much he did it twice today. :)

Hey you all,
What a great place to be with a new camera. GLACIER NATIONAL PARK.
Great pictures with the light in front of the camera.
That is a great technique if the trees have leaves. They will look like silver.

Where did you find the Cowgirls? OH its Cassidy and McKenna. It helps to have my glasses on.

Poor Chuck. Kelley has a new camera, the girls got to wear cowgirl hats and Chuck gets to wash of flattened bugs.

Thanks for all the pretty photos!!!!!!!!

Love you more that all the bugs in the states you will be traveling in,
Grandpa.

Thanks Dad!

It sure is pretty here. Wish you could be with us to see it in person! The camera doesn't really do it justice. It's hard to capture the majesty of those mountains.

Love you more than all the sparkly leaves on all the Montana trees!

Thank you so much for setting up this blog so we can share your trip. The scenery is just gorgeous. It must be breath taking to see.

Hard to find scenery prettier than those two cowgirls though. They are extraordinarly beautiful!!!!

Hey Chuck..maybe you should start charging the rest of the family for your bug washing services. Sounds like it is a fairly time consuming job.

Wonderful pictures. Wish we could be there too!! Much, much, much love, Meemom

Thanks for the comments Mom, Dad, and Robyn!!

This really is fun having a blog and it's a great way to share vacation pics. Chuck was happy that I didn't post all 200 or so pics that I've taken so far... hehehe

I think next time, I'll try posting the pictures bigger!

I love you big bunches!

Hi Aunt Kelley, Uncle Chuck, McKenna and Cassi!

It looks like you are having a great time! Thank you so much for taking all the beautiful pictures! You are a natural with it! I am always looking forward to seeing more!

By the way, if Uncle Chuck likes the bug cleaning duty so much, we have two windshields he could use his wonderful skill on!
